• The Account Executive - Small Group will work by group size of 2-50 employees within assigned geographic territories, and independent insurance agents to provide group health plan proposals to qualified prospects. Responsibilities include proactive contacting of prospective groups and brokers, maintaining key competitive awareness and gathering group specific information for sales presentation to purchaser or agent, gather appropriate materials, present rates and finalize contracts. Follow up includes identification of potential problems and feed back of information from the field to the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Relevant work experience in managed care is preferred. Must be appropriately licensed by the Department of Insurance for Kentucky. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to use basic office equipment and personal computer skills; knowledge of Word for Windows and Excel. Must be an independent self-starter capable of making decisions within the scope of the position. Must have a current Kentucky driver’s license and an automobile and must have the minimum amount of insurance as required by state law. Regular attendance and promptness are considered part of the employee’s essential job functions.
